Booting up a long Franchise save in MLB The Show 26 used to feel like babysitting the CPU. Now, with Update 6, the Trade Hub actually makes you think, and even budgeting around MLB The Show 26 stubs feels tied to a bigger plan.

The Trade Hub finally bites back
The big change is simple. Bad offers don't slide through anymore. If you try to dump an old bench bat for a top-five prospect, the other GM shuts it down fast, and yeah, that's how it should've worked from day one.
You also notice the CPU caring about fit. A rebuilding club wants upside, cheap control, and premium positions. A contender wants bullpen help or a rental bat, not your random Double-A first baseman with nice hair and no future.

What changed under the hood
The Meta: Teams now weigh contract control prospect ceiling positional need and current standings before moving serious talent.
The Snag: Lazy package deals still get exposed when you stack three mid-tier players and hope the value bar lies.
The Fix: Scout the other farm system first then build offers around what that club actually lacks.
Reality check: I tried robbing Oakland twice, got rejected twice, and honestly the game was right.

Pending offers add real deadline stress
The delay system is the sneaky winner here. Trades sitting for 24 to 72 hours make the deadline feel messy in a good way. You can't just pause, force a deal, and move on like you're editing a spreadsheet.
The buzz on Discord: Most Franchise regulars say the new rejection notes make losses sting less because at least the logic makes sense.

Small settings that help long saves
Trade Notifications: Leave detailed alerts on so rival bids and salary issues do not get buried.
Prospect Badges: Keep Top 100 labels visible before touching any multi-player offer.
Simulation Pace: Use weekly advances during July so pending deals have room to breathe.

Why Franchise players are sticking around
Update 6 doesn't make every CPU move perfect, but it kills a lot of the nonsense. That matters. If you're building through drafts, contracts, trades, and maybe checking MLB The Show 26 stubs for sale along the way, Franchise finally feels worth the grind.
